Our School

Leonel Castillo Early Childhood STEM Academy is a public charter school, located in the Leonel Castillo Community Center, in the Near Northside.  Castillo ECH first opened its doors for the 2021 – 2022 school year, serving grades PK3 and PK4. Kindergarten was then offered in the 2022-2023 school year. Castillo STEM offers a state certified curriculum in literacy and math, with a STEM focus.  Castillo ECH also offers a solid social and emotional learning program, where young children are taught to self-regulate their emotions and skills necessary to be successful citizens in the world.

At Castillo, we believe that when you enroll your child(ren) you are entering into a partnership with the school. This partnership implies certain responsibilities on the part of the school and the parents.
